Shaun O'Hara's Injury A Mild Lis Franc Sprain; Center Won't Play This Week

New York Giants center Shaun O’Hara has a mild Lis Franc sprain of his right foot and will not play this week against the Seattle Seahawks.

Though those injuries usually take 2-4 weeks to heal, O’Hara is hoping to miss only the Giants’ next game at Seattle this Sunday. His plan, barring any setbacks, according to the source, is to return for the Giants’ game against the Cowboys on Nov. 14.

Barring any setbacks, the sources said, O’Hara will not need surgery.

The injury apparently happened during the Giants’ win in Dallas on Oct. 24. During the bye week, O’Hara was sent to Charlotte to see Dr. Robert Anderson, a noted foot specialist. He returned with the foot in a protective boot and he was not able to practice today.

O’Hara will be replaced in the lineup by Adam Koets, who started three games at center earlier this season when O’Hara was sidelined by bursitis in his left ankle.
