In SB Nation's latest mock draft by Dan Kadar, the New York Giants are getting terrific value at the No. 19 overall spot, taking defensive end Ezekiel Ansah of the BYU Cougars.
With the departure of Osi Umenyiora and Chris Canty and the declining production of Justin Tuck, New York needs another big body to anchor the front seven.
Ansah is projected by most pundits to go somewhere in the top five or ten players, but Kadar believes Ansah can slip all the way to Big Blue should he get by the Detroit Lions and Tennessee Titans.
There's no question that Ansah is an extremely raw talent due to just picking up the game of football in recent years, but the talent is undeniable. Ansah reminds many of Jason Pierre-Paul and we all know how that has worked out for New York.
Despite all of his physical gifts, the stats don't overwhelm. In 2012, Ansah recorded 5.5 sacks in 13 games including a two-sack performance against Utah State.
