Eagles vs. Giants score: Philadelphia leads New York, 7-3, at halftime

A 19-yard touchdown reception by wide receiver DeSean Jackson from quarterback Michael Vick has helped the Philadelphia Eagles earn a 7-3 halftime lead on the visiting New York Giants at Lincoln Financial Field. Jackson's first touchdown of the season capped a 11-play, 70-yard drive that ended with 1:47 to go in the first half.

The Giants' answered the Eagles' score with a 24-yard field goal from kicker Lawrence Tynes. Quarterback Eli Manning helped New York march 81 yards in 10 plays to setup the kick which came with five second to go in the half.

So far, Jackson has tallied three catches for 62 receiving yards in the first half, while Vick completed 11 of 19 passes for 132 yards. Vick also has ran the ball for 19 yards on three carries, one of came on the touchdown drive and helped the Eagles' convert a 3rd-and-4 at the Giants' 24-yard line.

Before the pair of late second-quarter scores the contest showcased little offense. Both teams ended the first quarter without a tally on the scoreboard, as only the Eagles' moved inside its opponent's territory in the first 15 minutes. That drive, which stretched into the beginning of the second quarter, ended when the Eagles failed to convert on a 3rd-and-11 situation at the Giants' 45-yard line and was forced to punt on fourth down.

Meanwhile, the Giants had only one other drive to march inside Eagles' territory. That march stopped at the 49-yard line after Manning couldn't complete a pass on 3rd-and-3 and New York was forced to punt for the third time near midfield with about nine minutes to play in the first half.

Manning finished the first half 14-for-26 with 151 yards.
