Hakeem Nicks has been downgraded from doubtful to out for Sunday night's game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.
Nicks last appeared in a game during Week 2's thrilling 41-34 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sept. 16. Nicks caught 10 passes for 199 yards and a touchdown in that win.
Giants head coach Tom Coughlin held Nicks out of Week 3's Thursday night win over the Carolina Panthers. It had been believed that Nicks would be ready to play in Week 4 with the extended time off, but that is not the case.
In addition to a sore foot, related to Nicks' offseason foot surgery, Nicks is reportedly dealing with swelling in his knee. Though the team has not specified which knee is bothering Nicks, ESPN's Ian Begley believes Nicks' left knee is troublesome.
If true, then Nicks is dealing with pain in both legs, as Nicks' offseason foot surgery was on his right foot.
Ramses Barden and Domenik Hixon will likely see more snaps on Sunday night, as the Giants look to fill Nicks' void.
