The New York Giants are underdogs to the Philadelphia Eagles, although they won't worry too much about that designation after walloping their favored opponents, the Carolina Panthers, last week.
The line against Carolina shifted late as Hakeem Nicks and Ahmad Bradshaw were ruled out, swinging the Giants from favorites to underdogs. They won by 29 in a dominating performance, and their defense allowed the Panthers just one touchdown. Meanwhile, Philadelphia mustered only a pair of field goals in a loss to Arizona. Yet with the Eagles holding home-field advantage, they're the 2-point favorites, even with Nicks and Bradshaw coming back (although some books have the line listed as even).
The Eagles may be 2-1 on the season, but they're 0-3 against the spread, with both of their victories by only a single point. Philadelphia has been sub-par on offense, only averaging 15.7 points per game, which makes the under bet on the 47 over/under look attractive as the Eagles have failed to hit the over in all three of their games, while the Giants are 1-2 on the year.
