As the defending Super Bowl Champion New York Giants fight for their playoff lives with one week to go in the 2012 NFL season, the NFL announced Wednesday that three players have been named to the 2013 Pro Bowl. Victor Cruz (wide receiver), Jason Pierre-Paul (defensive end) and Chris Snee (guard) will all represent the NFC in Hawaii next month.
The Giants are 8-7 and need a win on Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles to have a chance at defending their Super Bowl title. As always, the Giants will lean on Cruz to help them get there. The wide receiver leads the team in receptions (82), receiving yards (1,040) and touchdown receptions (9), and has been quarterback Eli Manning's favorite target.
Pierre-Paul leads the team with 6.5 sacks and seven tackles for loss. He has also picked up 61 total tackles this season. Snee, who was picked as a backup, is the first Giant to be selected to four Pro Bowls since Jeremy Shockey.
Other members of the NFC's Pro Bowl team include Aaron Rodgers, Robert Griffin III, Adrian Peterson, Calvin Johnson and Marshawn Lynch.
The complete Pro Bowl roster for the NFC can be found here. The game will be played at Aloha Stadium on Jan. 27.
