In the 2012 NFL regular season's last week, the New York Giants find themselves in a desperate situation.
New York needs to beat the Philadelphia Eagles at MetLife Stadium and then hope the Chicago Bears lose to the Detroit Lions at Ford Field, the Minnesota Vikings fall to the Green Bay Packers at Mall of America Field and that the Washington Redskins beat the Dallas Cowboys in primetime at FedEx Field.
New York certainly needs plenty to go right but none of it is out of the question, with perhaps the biggest stretch being Chicago falling short against a woeful Detroit team.
For Chicago to make the playoffs, it needs to win and hope for a Dallas loss.
For Minnesota and the Cowboys it's simple: win and in; lose and go home.
Washington could make the playoffs if it loses but would win the NFC East if it can knock off Dallas.
