Giants-Ravens odds: Big Blue looking for win as underdogs

New York desperately needs to beat Joe Flacco and the Ravens to keep control of their playoff hopes.

The New York Giants head down the East Coast this Sunday to take on the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Banks Stadium with the betting line opening at even, according to oddsshark.com.

The line is in favor of the Giants in some places such as BOVADA, where they are a three-point favorite on the road.

New York is trying to stay in control of its playoff destiny with a victory. After suffering a 34-0 drubbing at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons last week, the Giants need to win both of their remaining games (the last coming at home against the Philadelphia Eagles) to assure themselves a playoff spot.

It certainly won't be a walk in the park for New York, as Baltimore is coming off three consecutive losses. The Ravens have already guaranteed a postseason slot, but they still need to wrap up the AFC North, which they can do by beating the Giants.

Sunday will mark the second game that new Ravens offensive coordinator Jim Caldwell will be calling the plays. In his first showing, Baltimore quarterback Joe Flacco struggled mightily against the Denver Broncos, going 20 of 40, including a back-breaking interception.
