Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks says he'll play on Sunday despite having problems with his left knee. Nicks missed practice on Wednesday with the injury, and he was a limited participant on Thursday while dealing with the problematic knee. He has also been dealing with problems cause by a broken foot over the summer this season.

Nicks downplayed the knee problem while talking to reporters on Thursday and had the following to say about the past two practices (via NJ.com):

"Yesterday was just taking a day off. It was still a little swollen, a little puffy from the game like it always is after the game. This time it was just a little bit more puffy, so they wanted to sit me down for a day, and I got back out there today and everything was fine."

Nicks was also asked about the effect that his foot problems were having on his statistics, but the wideout didn't seem too concerned about his numbers thus far:

"Stats is for girls. It’s football, man. The season is going to be up and down. It’s about how you ride the wave and if you let it affect you. I know I’m a great football player, and we’re ready to make this run after the bye week."

Nicks says the foot is getting better, and he expects his statistics to improve soon. The Giants will next be in action Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. ET when they head to Cincinnati to face the Bengals. The game will be aired on FOX.
