While the New York Giants strengthened their playoff chances with their 38-10 win against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, they didn't come away from the game completely unscathed.
Giants running back Andre Brown broke his left fibula and and was placed on the injured reserve list on Monday. Brown, who was injured during the fourth quarter against the Packers, was placed on the injured reserve with the designation to return, meaning he could be activated later in the season. The estimated recovery time for a broken fibula is four to six weeks so it's possibly Brown could be activated in time for the playoffs.
Brown wasn't the only Giant to leave the game win an injury Sunday. Safety Kenny Phillips left the game after aggravating the MCL injury which kept him off the field since Week 3. Head coach Tom Coughlin said he wasn't sure what to expect when it comes to recovery time. Right tackle David Diehl also left the game with a "burner" and did not return.
