Giants-Bengals score update: New York behind, 17-6, to Cincinnati at halftime

After giving up two early touchdowns, the New York Giants have scored a pair of field goals and trail the Cincinnati Bengals, 17-6, at halftime.

The New York Giants trail the Cincinnati Bengals, 17-6, at halftime of their game at Paul Brown Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Giants will receive the ball to begin the second half.

Cincinnati jumped out to an early lead with two touchdowns in the game's first five minutes, but the Giants came back, scoring on a 31-yard field goal by Lawrence Tynes just seconds before halftime to cut the lead to 17-6.

After scoring twice early on, Cincinnati added to its lead late in the second quarter, but was held to just a field goal by the New York defense. Mike Nugent's 28-yard kick made the Bengals' lead 17-3 with 4:22 left in the half.

Eli Manning completed 15 of his 20 passing attempts in the first half for 107 yards. Hakeem Nicks has been Manning's most frequent target, catching seven passes for 63 yards.

Andy Dalton threw for 161 yards and two touchdowns on 15 of 20 passing in the first half. A.J. Green and Andrew Hawkins each caught a touchdown pass for the Bengals.

The Giants come into Sunday's game 6-3 on the season, leading the NFC East by two games. Cincinnati is 3-5 this season, looking for their second home victory of the year. Despite their record, the Bengals have been solid when leading at half, with all three wins coming from halftime leads.
