NFL lines and odds Week 9: Steelers vs. Giants

The New York Giants will have to beat a Pittsburgh Steelers squad playing its best football of the season if they want to push a winning streak to five games on Sunday.

The New York Giants have reeled off four straight wins and are field goal favorites heading into a matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Super Bowl Champions have been playing good football of late, but it hasn't always resulted in blowout wins. Their last two games have been decided by only nine combined points. And although the Steelers are just a game above .500, they're clearly playing their best football of the year having won the last two matchups. A quick comparison of recent opponents gives the edge to the Steelers: two weeks ago, New York needed a late 77-yard pass to Victor Cruz to leave with a 27-23 win over the Washington Redskins, but when the Steelers had the same matchup this past week, they rolled over the Redskins in a 27-12 win tat probably shouldn't have been that close.

The line between the two teams opened at 4.5, but has since shrunk to three. Although the Giants are 6-2, they're only 4-4 against the spread.
