Giants vs. Browns score update: Giants lead 27-17 at halftime

After trailing 14-7 at the end of the first quarter, the Giants came back with 20 points in the second quarter to take a 27-17 halftime lead.

Cleveland struck first with a field goal in the second quarter, taking a 10-point lead, but New York came back with a field goal of their own to cut the lead to 17-10. Cleveland was driving for another potential score, but Giants safety Stevie Brown intercepted Brandon Weeden and returned it into Cleveland territory.

Eli Manning hit Rueben Randle for 36 yards, setting up Ahmad Bradshaw for a 4-yard touchdown run to tie the game. New York got the ball right back when Josh Cribbs fumbled the kickoff and the Giants recovered at the Browns 29-yard line.

New York didn't waste any time, scoring five plays later. Manning found Victor Cruz in the end zone for the second time in the game to give the Giants the 24-17 lead. Cleveland was forced to punt, and New York took over with just 17 second to play, but a 12-yard Bradshaw run and a pass interference penalty set up Lawrence Tynes for a 40-yard field goal.

Cruz has just three catches for 18 yards in the first half, but has scored two touchdowns. Manning has thrown for 179 yards in the first half while Bradshaw has rushed for 80 yards and a touchdown on 15 carries.
