The New York Giants trail the Dallas Cowboys, 24-23, after the third quarter in Sunday's game at Cowboys Stadium.
After the Giants scored the first 23 points of the game, 20 of which came off of Dallas turnovers, the Cowboys responded with 24 straight points to take the lead. The Cowboys scored 10 in the second quarter and 14 in the third quarter to complete the turnaround. On both of the third quarter touchdowns, Tony Romo's mobility was a factor. Romo rolled out on the first score and when he saw daylight continued into the endzone. On the second touchdown, Romo faked another rush attempt and found John Phillips for a one-yard touchdown reception. The Giants were not able to sustain drives and the defense appeared to be tiring as the quarter wore on.
The Cowboys had the ball at the end of the quarter but will be looking at a stalled drive after an incompletion by Romo was sandwiched in between two sacks by Giants linemen Chris Canty and Jason Pierre-Paul. The Cowboys will have a 4th down and 23 when the fourth quarter begins.
