Brooklyn Nets Rumors: Bobcats, Nets Bidding For Kris Humphries?

Apparently, someone loves Kris Humphries. Multiple someone's, even. Humphries, the free-agent forward who spent the last three seasons with the then-New Jersey Nets is reportedly the subject of a bidding ware between the now-Brooklyn Nets and the Charlotte Bobcats.

Marc Stein of ESPN tweets the details below:

Humphries, 27, averaged career highs in points (13.8) and rebounds (11.0) per game a season ago.

The Nets had originally hoped to use Humphries as part of a sign-and-trade to acquire Dwight Howard from the Orlando Magic, but were unable to reach an agreement to get that done.

Brooklyn, of course, has re-signed Deron Williams, Brook Lopez and Gerald Wallace and added Joe Johnson via trade. Failing to retain Humphries, however, would leave the Nets without a solid rebounder at the power forward spot.
