Is Brooklyn Nets forward Kris Humphries being eyed by another NBA team? According to a report, the Charlotte Bobcats are renewing efforts to acquire Humphries (via Rick Bonnell). The Bobcats were originally trying to be part of a blockbuster trade for the Nets which would have brought Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard to Brooklyn. However, the Bobcats reportedly only wanted to acquire Humphries at the time for one season through a sign-and-trade deal.
The Cleveland Cavaliers backed out of a potential trade for Humphries on Wednesday that would have signed the forward to a multi-year deal.
Last season, Humphries made $8 million and had career-highs in points (13.8), rebounds (11.0), blocks (1.2) and minutes (34.9) per game. He could reportedly command a salary of $10 million over three or four seasons.
