NBA Free Agency 2012: Nets, Cavaliers Talking About A Deal For Antawn Jamison

The Dwight Howard deal may be dead in the water, but the Brooklyn Nets are keeping busy. A Thursday report from Yahoo! Sports says that the Nets and Cleveland Cavaliers are talking about a possible sign-and-trade deal for power forward Antawn Jamison.

Jamison, 36, is currently an unrestricted free agent. He spent the last two and a half seasons playing for the Cavs, telling the team that he would not return for the 2012-2013 season.

Jamison, 6-foot-9, averaged more than 17 points per game last season, with slightly more than 33 minutes of playing time per game. The Bobcats, Lakers and Warriors are also said to be talking with the free agent. The Cavaliers recently re-signed power forward Luke Harangody to a qualifying offer.
