Nets Vs. Cavaliers: New Jersey, Deron Williams Hopes To Continue Winning Ways

Despite having little or no shot at a playoff berth, the New Jersey Nets have been still playing hard and winning basketball games. The Nets will try to keep that trend going Sunday, when they host the struggling Cleveland Cavaliers at the Prudential Center (6 p.m. ET on YES Network).

The Nets (20-37) are winners of five of their last eight contests, and will face an opponent that will be missing their best player, rookie guard Kyrie Irving, and are 1-9 in their last 10 games.

On Friday, New Jersey downed another NBA cellar-dweller in the Washington Wizards 110-98. Battling the flu, point guard Deron Williams tallied 19 points and 13 assists. Meanwhile, the Cavaliers snapped a 10-game losing streak with a 84-80 victory over the Toronto Raptors.

Overall, the season series favors the Cavs' 2-1.
