Knicks-Hawks Score: New York Falls In Atlanta, 100-90

The New York Knicks were defeated by the Hawks in Atlanta's Philips Arena on Friday night by a score of 100-90. This was the first loss for the Knicks in the last four games and gives them a record of 26-26, which puts them in eighth place in the Eastern Conference and in third place in the Atlantic Division. The Hawks avoided losing three in a row on Friday night and now have a record of 31-22, which puts them in sixth place and in third place in the Southeast division.

The Knicks were led by Carmelo Anthony, who put up 36 points in the losing effort. Iman Shumpert added 25 points, but other than those two, there wasn't a single player who was able to reach double digit points. Landry Fields was the closes by adding seven points. The Hawks were led by Joe Johnson, who scored 28 points. Josh Smith added 23, Jeff Teague added 11 and Willie Green came off the bench to chip in 20.

The Knicks will attempt to bounce back on Saturday night at 7:30 when they host the Cleveland Cavaliers while the Hawks will look to build off their win on the road Saturday night against the 76ers.
