In a matchup of Eastern Conference bottom feeders, the New Jersey Nets defeated the Charlotte Bobcats 102-89 on Saturday night behind another exceptional outing from forward Kris Humphries.
Humphries finished his evening with 20 points and 16 rebounds, both of which were game highs. Deron and Shelden Williams each had double doubles for New Jersey, as Deron finished with 19 points and 14 assists while Shelden added 10 points and 11 boards.
Byron Mullens led the way for the woeful Bobcats, finishing with 17 points on 6-9 shooting.
Trade deadline acquistion Gerald Wallace had 15 points, seven rebounds and three steals for New Jersey, who was able to avoid a second loss in as many nights.
The Nets will next take the court on Monday night when they host the surging Utah Jazz.
