Two of the worst teams in the NBA face off Saturday night at The Prudential Center in Newark when the New Jersey Nets host the Charlotte Bobcats. The Nets have lost five straight and seven of eight while the Bobcats are losers of two in a row along with seven of nine.
New Jersey fell to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, 93-84, after building an 11 point lead entering the fourth quarter. Deron Williams, fresh off an ejection just two days earlier, paced the Nets with 20 points and eight assists, while Kris Humphries chipped in 17 points and eight rebounds.
Charlotte lost to the Milwaukee Bucks at home Friday night, 112-92, to preserve their spot at the bottom of the NBA standings. Gerald Henderson exploded for 29 points against Milwaukee to lead the Bobcats. Derrick Brown and Kemba Walker both had 13 off the bench.
The Nets have already beaten the Bobcats three times this season and have a chance for the four-game sweep.
