The New York Knicks seems to be a series of phenomenons this season. This time interim coach Mike Woodson has the Knicks rolling. Woodson's team won their fifth straight game on Wednesday night, beating Philadelphia by a final score of 82-79. The Knicks are now 5-0 under Woodson.
New York controlled the boards against the Sixers. Led by Amare Stoudemire's nine rebounds, the Knicks had a total of 47 on the night, topping the Sixers' 39 rebounds.
Stoudemire also led the Knicks in scoring with 21 points, hitting eight of 14 shots from the field. Jeremy Lin finished the game with 18 points and five rebounds. Carmelo Anthony had 10 points and five rebounds.
Elton Brand led the Sixers, picking up a double-double with 12 rebounds and 12 points. Jrue Holiday had 16 points, the team's top scorer.
The Knicks play in Toronto on Friday. They beat the Raptors, 106-87, on Tuesday night.
