The Prudential Center, current home of the New Jersey Nets (which are moving to Brooklyn next season), will host the 2012 NBA Draft, according to Newark mayor Cory Booker.

The Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., hosted the 2011 NBA Draft due to renovations to Madison Square Garden. MSG will once again undergo renovations this summer, so once again the Draft will take place at the Prudential Center. The Theater at Madison Square Garden has hosted the NBA Draft annually from the 2001 season until the renovations made it unavailable last year.
