The New Jersey Nets and their fans don't want to hear this one. The Orlando Magic WOULD reportedly trade superstar center Dwight Howard right now, just not to the Nets. Ken Berger of CBS Sports reports that the Magic would trade Howard to the Chicago Bulls -- the only holdup being that Howard still says he does not want to go there.
According to Berger, the Bulls offer for Howard could look like this:
7-footer Omer Asik, Luol Deng and Carlos Boozer for Howard and Hedo Turkoglu, sources said. The Bulls also could offer a valuable first-round pick from Charlotte -- top-14 protected in this year's draft but but unprotected by 2016.
Berger also reported that "the Magic seem intent on rolling the dice" and keeping Howard because theya re "unimpressed with the assets Howard's three preferred teams could provide in a trade." Those three teams are the Nets, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks.
The NBA trade deadline is March 15, so stay tuned. See SBNation.com for complete trade deadline coverage.
