After losing their fifth consecutive game against the 76ers on Sunday afternoon, the Knicks will look to finally become winners against the Bulls on Monday night.
New York (18-23) has been in a total tailspin since embarking on its four game road swing starting in Boston. The Knicks have played absolutely no defense lately, surrendering 100-plus points like it's going out of style.
As Walt "Clyde" Frazier would say, the matador D can't continue. New York is facing one of the best in the NBA tonight with Derrick Rose and his crew waiting at the United Center.
Chicago (34-9) ranks second in points allowed and seventh in scoring, so the Knicks don't have much leeway. If New York is going to win, it must contain Rose who is 22.5 points and eight assists per contest. The defending MVP once again has his team engaged in the title talk with his fine play.
If the Knicks are going to be taken seriously in 2012, the days for excuses are over. The talent is there, it's high time the victories follow.
