The New Jersey Nets look to continue their mini-revival on Friday night when they host the Minnesota Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. (YES)
After a slow start to the season, the Nets have won five of their past 10 games and four of their last seven. The most recent win came Wednesday at home against the Detroit Pistons, when New Jersey prevailed on the second night of a back-to-back, 99-96. Deron Williams paced the victory with 26 points and nine assists, and Kris Humphries added 18 points and eight rebounds.
Minnesota is currently last in the difficult Northwest Division at 10-12, but the Timberwolves have shown the ability to beat anybody on any given night. After sliding by the Houston Rockets on Monday, 120-108, Minnesota was downed by the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday, 109-99.
Kevin Love leads the Timberwolves with 25.3 points and 13.6 rebounds, and rookie sensation Ricky Rubio adds 11.4 points and 8.7 assists.
