From relative unknown to the Eastern Conference's top performer in just one week.
Jeremy Lin's heavenly seven days were recognized by the NBA on Monday when the Knicks point guard was named the Eastern Conference's Player of the Week.
Lin averaged 27.3 points and 8.3 assists to lead New York to a 4-0 record, all in the first four starts of his NBA career. He scored 38 points and added seven assists during a victory Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers, tallied 23 points and 10 assists in a win Wednesday against the Washington Wizards, and drilled the game-winning free throw while contributing 20 points, eight assists and six rebounds Saturday against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The incredible performances -- which came after New York seriously considered releasing the Harvard grad -- spawned a national Lin-fest, a phenomenon that has already resulted in approximately 75 million Lin features and this awesome website, among much else.
