Nets Schedule: Road Trip Continues In Philadelphia

The New Jersey Nets play their second game of a three-game road trip Wednesday night when they take on the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center.

The Nets are hitting the court after a much needed day off following their first stretch of three games in three days this season. New Jersey finished 1-2 over those games, including a blow out loss to the Chicago Bulls on Monday night. Jordan Farmar led a tired Nets team with 22 points off the bench as the Bulls were never really challenged in the game.

After a strong finish last season, the Sixers are showing the league they are for real with a 12-5 record, good for first in the Atlantic Division. So far they are getting the job done with offense and rebounding, ranked 3rd and 4th in the league, respectively. They easily handled the Washington Wizards on Monday night in a 103-83 victory.

Avery Johnson may once again be without explosive rookie MarShon Brooks as he deals with a case of tendinitis. DeShawn Stevenson was limited to only 10 minutes against the Bulls due to a sore knee and could be sidelined as well. The Nets are already down Brook Lopez and Damion James thanks to foot injuries.

New Jersey has lost 8 straight against the Sixers, their second longest losing streak against any team in the league.

Next up for the Nets is a trip to Cleveland for a showdown against first overall pick Kyrie Irving and the Cavaliers.
