Nets Vs. Suns: New Jersey Defeats Phoenix, 110-103

The New Jersey Nets won their third game of the season Friday night at US Airways Center, defeating the Phoenix Suns, 110-103. The victory snapped a three-game losing streak. Now, with a 3-9 record, the Nets are in 13th place in the Eastern Conference and in last place in the Atlantic Division. The Suns, now 4-7, are in 11th place in the Western Conference and in third place in the Pacific Division.

The Nets were led by point guard Deron Williams, who scored 35 points, a season high. MarShon Brooks also added 20 points, while Anthony Morrow scored 16, Kris Humphries scored 15 and Mehmet Okur added 11. Jordan Farmar came off the bench to add 10 points.

The Suns were led Saturday night by Center Marcin Gortat, who scored 20 points. Both Jared Dudley and Ronnie Price scored 18 points while Channing Frye scored scored 15 and Shannon Brown added 13.

The Nets will stay out west as they are scheduled to face the Utah Jazz in EnergySolutions Arena on Saturday evening. The Suns will also head out on the road. They face the San Antonio Spurs on Sunday evening.
