New Jersey Nets point guard Deron Williams and his family arrived at Istanbul's Ataturk Airport on Thursday to start his European career with Besiktas.

As he left for the long flight overseas, Williams tweeted that he ran into a young fan of his soon-to-be team that was also on his way to Istanbul.  Besiktas' season will open on September 27.  In what will likely be the first of many hurdles for Williams and his family he mentioned how hard it is moving so many people such a long distance.

On the plane can finally... Moving 6 people to another country is stressful coming up! Next stop Istanbul

Though there have been rumors that a big star like Kobe Bryant or Kevin Durant could join Williams in Turkey, so far it appears his most will known teammate will be Zaza Pachulia.  Williams has an opt-out in his contract that will allow him to rejoin the Nets as soon as the NBA lockout comes to an end.

Williams was quick to post a photo to Facebook shortly after landing of him holding his new No. 8 Besiktas jersey.
