Sixers Dangling Iguodala As Bait For Anthony

The Denver Nuggets have a new suitor when it comes to the pursuit of Carmelo Anthony, and it sounds like this one should make the New Jersey Nets worry.

From the Denver Post:

While a potential four-team trade that would send Carmelo Anthony to the New Jersey Nets is on hold, the Nuggets are also exploring moving Melo to Philadelphia for small forward Andre Iguodala, a league source said Sunday.

Iguodala, 26, is a 6-foot-6, 207-pound small forward. He played for Team USA in the World Championships this summer. An emerging star, he averaged 17.1 points per game, 6.5 rebounds and 5.8 assists a year ago.

The Nuggets are contemplating trading Anthony to the Nets, a deal that would net them rookie post Derrick Favors, Utah forward Andrei Kirilenko (and his $18 million expiring contract) and some draft picks. Charlotte would also be involved in that four-way trade.

Denver is also apparently considering turning over just about its entire roster.

This thing is getting more complicated, and more confusing, by the day. Maybe even by the hour. Stay tuned.
