Morning Coffee! Giants Win, Can Jets Do The Same?

Good morning, New York sports fans! It's a great Monday if you are a New York Giants fan, and a nervous one if you are a New York Jets fan.

  • The Giants did what they were supposed to do, and needed to do, Sunday. They manhandled the Washington Redskins, 31-7, to improve to 8-4 and stay right in the thick of a very competitive NFC playoff picture. The Giants can't afford any slip-ups the rest of the way.

  • The Jets meet the Patriots tonight in an eagerly anticipated matchup of 9-2 AFC East powerhouses. The game is in New England and it's been a billion years or so since Tom Brady and the Patriots have lost a regular-season game at home. Let's see if this one matches the intensity and quality of Sunday's Pittsburgh-Baltimore game.
