So, New Jersey Nets fans how do you feel this morning about LeBron James basically asserting Thursday that the NBA would be better off by wiping your franchise off the face of the earth? By the way, Merry Christmas.
In case you missed it, James said Thursday that the NBA would be a better league with fewer teams, and specifically mentioned the Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
"Imagine if you could take Kevin Love off Minnesota and add him to another team and you shrink the (league). Looking at some of the teams that aren’t that great, you take Brook Lopez or you take Devin Harris off these teams that aren’t that good right now and you add him to a team that could be really good.
"I’m not saying let’s take New Jersey and let’s take Minnesota out of the league. But hey, you guys are not stupid, I’m not stupid, it would be great for the league."
OK, so he isn't saying take New Jersey and Minnesota out of the league. He's just saying take New Jersey and Minnesota -- and maybe a couple of other teams who stink -- out of the league to make the rest of the teams better.
What would you say to LeBron if you had the chance? Is he all wet? Would you go along with the contraction idea, provided it did not involved your team?
