  • Word is filtering out that Andy Pettitte is leaning toward retirement rather than returning to the New York Yankees. I will believe it when Pettitte actually stands up and makes an announcement. Pettitte is leaning toward retirement every off-season at this time, and every Spring Training he is in uniform preparing to pitch. I still believe that he knows he has the Yankees over a barrel here, and the longer he plays this little game the more Steinbrenner dollars he can put in his pocket.
