Broken Foot Knocks Out Damion James, Quinton Ross Earns Start

New Jersey Nets rookie Damion James suffered a broken foot in his first start of the season against the Dallas Mavericks.  He was replaced in the starting lineup by Quinton Ross against the Los Angeles Lakers and will be re-evaluated later in the week to determine how long he will be out.

GM Billy King spoke with Travis Outlaw's agent to tell him that his client needs to "go after it, he can't accept going back to the bench.  He needs to take this challenge".

Ross drew not only the starting nod against the Lakers but also the first shot at defending Kobe Bryant.
