The Prudential Center, temporary home of the New Jersey Nets, will reportedly get to host the 2011 NBA Draft.
NBA commissioner David Stern will announce before tonight’s Nets’ opener against the Pistons that the draft will be held at The Rock instead of the Theater at Madison Square Garden.
For the past 10 years New York has hosted the NBA Draft. It could be changing sites because the Garden will undergo a major renovation after this season. The New York Liberty of the WNBA will play home games in Newark next season.
