Zach Parise Free Agency Rumors: Parise Announces No Decision Made

New Jersey Devils forward Zach Parise announced on Monday at a press conference in Toronto that he will take more time before making a decision about where he will play next season. He also announced he would go home to Minnesota to talk to his family about his decision (via NJ.com). The Devils are still in the running to retain Parise's services but the Wild, Blackhawks and Red Wings are also in the mix to sign him.

Parise had 31 goals and 38 assists last season for the Devils. He added eight goals and seven assists in New Jersey's run to the Stanley Cup Finals. Parise is just six goals away from 200 in his NHL career. He reached the 200 assist plateau last season and has 216 in his career.

Parise has played all seven of his NHL seasons with New Jersey.

The Devils retained goaltenders Martin Brodeur and Johan Hedberg on Monday.
