Devils Vs. Flyers, 2012 NHL Playoffs Game 3: Tied 3-3 After 3 Periods, Headed For Overtime

The New Jersey Devils and the Philadelphia Flyers are headed to overtime in Game 3 of their 2012 NHL Playoffs Eastern Conference semifinal Thursday night. Both teams scored in a tightly contested third period. The Devils held a slight advantage, getting off seven shots on goal to six for the Flyers.

The Devils also struck first in the period, thanks to a goal by Zach Parise at the 7:29 mark to give New Jersey a one goal lead for the second time on the night.

Danny Briere came through as he has all season, however, recording his eighth goal of the postseason on a quick tip-in over the right skate of Martin Brodeur to tie the game yet again. On the night, Brodeur has 19 saves to 22 for Ilya Bryzgalov.
