Hurricanes Vs. Devils Final Score: New Jersey Blanks Carolina, 5-0

Five different players scored and goaltender Martin Brodeur made 22 saves to help the New Jersey Devils shutout the Carolina Hurricanes in an Eastern Conference contest at the PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC. The victory was the Devils fourth straight and improved their overall record to 45-28-6 (96 points), good enough to clinch a playoff berth.

David Clarkson, Ilya Kovalchuk, Ryan Carter, Petr Sykora and Zach Parise each scored goals, respectively, the most coming in a three-game second period that ended with New Jersey ahead 4-0. From there, Brodeur did the rest of the work making nine saves in the third en route to his third shutout of the season.
