The New Jersey Devils will look to move a few points closer of locking up a NHL playoff berth Sunday, as they visit the Pittsburgh Penguins in a Atlantic Division contest at the CONSOL Energy Center in Pittsburgh, Pa. (7 p.m. ET on MSG). The Devils (42-27-6, 90 points) will also be trying to take the six-game season series, which features New Jersey ahead 3-2.
The task will not be easy, however, as the Penguins have won nine straight games at home and are still in the hunt for the Eastern Conference's top seed in the playoffs.
On Saturday, the Pens lost to the Ottawa Senators, 8-4, while the Devils were edged by the Toronto Maple Leafs, 4-3, in a shootout on Friday. The loss dropped the Devils to 2-3-1 over their last six games, but they do sit comfortably in six-place in the Easter Conference standings.
