Senators Vs. Devils: New Jersey Looks To End Losing Skid At Ottawa

The New Jersey Devils will get a chance to move one step closer to solidifying a Eastern Conference playoff spot while also ending a four-game losing streak at the Ottawa Senators Tuesday night (7:30 p.m. ET on MSG-Plus). The Devils (41-27-5, 87 points) sit in sixth place in the Eastern Conference standings and could push its lead on the last playoff spot to nine points with a victory Tuesday, while the Senators are in seventh place, four points ahead of the last spot.

On Monday, the Devils dropped its third game in four tries in a rough-and-tumble contest with tri-state rival the New York Rangers, 4-2. The recent struggles could be attributed to the play of star Ilya Kovalchuk who has netted zero goals in the last four games.

Meanwhile, Ottawa has dropped five of its last eight games and are looking to take a 2-1 season series lead over the Devils, which lost at the Senators on Jan. 2.
