Devils Vs. Canadiens Final Score: New Jersey Wins On The Road, 3-1

The New Jersey Devils earned their third straight win Sunday night, downing the Montreal Canadiens 3-1 at Bell Centre in Quebec. Only Max Pacioretty bested Martin Brodeur on the night, scoring on a power play early in the third period. Otherwise, Brodeur was mostly left alone throughout the night, turning back 21 shots on net.

The Devils jumped out to a 2-0 lead before the Habs could respond. Late in the first period, Zach Parise deflected a shot from the top of the faceoff circle by Ilya Kovalchuk into the net behind Carey Price. In the second, the Devils scored on another tip-in, this time off the stick of David Clarkson assisted by Patrik Elias.

Matt Taormina capped the scoring with a long slapshot past the faceoff circle into the right side of the net. Price had just 22 saves on 25 shots faced Sunday night. The Devils will cap their Canadian road trip at Toronto on Tuesday.
