Bruins Vs. Devils Final Score: Boston Nets Four In The Third Period For Win

The Boston Bruins put on a late offensive clinic on Thursday night, notching all four of their goals in the third period to take down the New Jersey Devils. The Bruins have won all three meetings between the two teams this season.

After being stonewalled by Martin Brodeur for most of the night, Andrew Ference tied the game up at 1-1 with a powerful slapshot from the top of the left faceoff circle early in the third period. The Bruins' next two goals came just 35 second apart from one another, with Nathan Horton scoring on a powerplay and Gregory Campbell capitalizing on rebound off a shot by Shawn Thornton to push the score to 3-1.

Petr Sykora scored at the end of the first period and the Devils held the Bruins to just 12 shots through the first 40 minutes of the game. Boston managed 13 shots in the third period, however, giving New Jersey their first loss in four games.
