New York Hockey History Quiz Answers (Part II)

Here are the answers to yesterday's quiz:

1. New York/New Jersey teams have won 11 Stanley Cups - the Rangers won in 1928, 1933, 1940 and 1994, the Islanders in 1980, 1981, 1982 and 1983, and the Devils in 1995, 2000 and 2003.

2. Andy Bathgate (1959), Bryan Trottier (1979) and Mark Messier (1992) have all won the Hart Trophy.

3. Trottier is the only New York-area player to win the Art Ross Trophy, when he led the NHL in scoring in 1978-79, with 134 points.

4. Five New York-area players have won the Norris Trophy - Doug Harvey (1961), Harry Howell (1967) and Brian Leetch (1992, 1997) of the Rangers, Denis Potvin (1976, 1978, 1979) of the Islanders and Scott Niedermayer (2004) of the Devils.

5. Andre Lacroix of the New York Golden Blades/New Jersey Knights was the first team center on the WHA All-Star team. He led the league with 80 assists. (If you got this answer correct you're a hockey trivia genius.)
