Penguins 2, Devils 1: Devils Lose Third Straight, MacLean Questions Likely to Be Asked During Three Days Off

Pittsburgh, PA (Sports Network) – Sidney Crosby notched the eventual game- winning goal in the second period and added an assist, as the Pittsburgh Penguins won their 10th straight game by nipping New Jersey, 2-1, at CONSOL Energy Center.

Chris Kunitz provided the other tally for the Penguins, who haven’t lost since a 3-2 overtime decision against the New York Rangers on November 15.

For Pittsburgh, it is the franchise’s first double-digit win streak since a 10-gamer from January 28-February 15, 1999.

Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 27-of-28 shots for the win, his 12th of the season.

Brian Rolston notched the lone goal for the Devils, who have dropped three in a row and four of five. Johan Hedberg was strong in defeat, stopping 32 shots.
