Newark, NJ (Sports Network) – Jason Arnott scored two goals and Patrik Elias and Mattias Tedenby each added a goal and assist in New Jersey’s 5-0 victory over Washington at Prudential Center.
Dainius Zubrus also potted a goal while Johan Hedberg turned aside 30 shots to celebrate his 300th career game in net with a victory.
Hedberg notched his first shutout of the year and the 15th of his career.
Braden Holtby suffered the loss after stopping only 18 of 23 shots for the Capitals, who have dropped three in a row and were shut out twice in the process.
