Good morning, New York sports fans! I know, I know it's not a good morning if you are a New York Yankee fan, but the sun is shining and your hamstring probably doesn't hurt as much as Mark Teixeira's today.

- So, let's start with those Yankees. They are now in serious trouble in the ALCS, down 3-1 after Tuesday's 10-3 drubbing by the Texas Rangers. What on earth was Joe Girardi thinking last night, leaving the inconsistent A.J. Burnett in to face Bengie Molina in the sixth inning in the game's pivotal at-bat? Burnett was on borrowed time, had just nearly air-mailed a pitch to the backstop while intentionally walking David Murphy and Joba Chamberlain was ready. Molina, of course, blasted the decisive three-run homer on the first pitch. Joe, you've got some 'splainin' to do. The Yankees try to save their season this afternoon.
↵ - Apparently, NFL players think the quarterbacks of New York teams stink. Eli Manning of the New York Giants was voted the league's fourth-most overrated player in a survey of 239 of his peers. Mark Sanchez of the New York Jets fared even worse, coming in one spot ahead of Eli at No. 2. I guess NFL players don't like guys who win games. If you're wondering, Terrell Owens was voted the most overrated player. ↵
