The Brooklyn Nets take on the Philadelphia 76ers in the third preseason game at the Barclays Center, their fourth game in five days.
Opening the new arena was a fun night for the franchise, one that wasn't duplicated Thursday when the Nets were demolished by 30 on TNT by the Boston Celtics. It was their first preseason loss of the year. Friday night, the Sixers - also 3-1 on the preseason come to Brooklyn.
The Nets' starting lineup has looked great thus far in preseason, with four of five starters hitting double digits in all three games the group has played in. Thursday, all five pulled the feat, with Brook Lopez leading the way with 14 points. However, it might not be wise to expect a repeat: Avery Johnson opted to rest Deron Williams and Joe Johnson for the second game of a back-to-back earlier this week when they headed to Boston, so he might choose to keep some more key players on the bench. Although the Nets already have enough players under guaranteed contracts to fill the 15-man roster, Johnson will likely opt to give big minutes to non-guaranteed players to rest his starters.
