Victor Cruz has salsa-danced his way into the hearts of New York Giants' fans. Sometimes it even seems like the popular Cruz could run for president.
Well, President Barack Obama has apparently noticed the popularity and personality of the New York Giants' wide receiver. Cruz is featured in an Obama campaign ad that was released on Sunday.
"Being half Latino, it's been a long time since we've actually had a voice like this and had someone that really cares about the Latin community," Cruz said via the New York Daily News. "And we need to go out there and let our voices be heard."
So, Cruz for Obama. Jets' owner Woody Johnson is on the side of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney. If recent history is any indication that would have to be considered good news for the Obama re-election bid.
The Giants and Cruz face the Cleveland Browns Sunday at 1 p.m. Et at MetLife Stadium.
