Sports on TV, 10/7: Yankees vs. Orioles and the rest of the MLB playoffs and NFL

A full slate of Week 5 NFL action and the 2012 MLB Playoffs is on tap for Sunday, Oct. 7. Here's the TV schedule and listings for the local New York area.

Major League Baseball

New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles - 6 p.m. on TBS: For the 19th time this season, the Yankees will face off against the Orioles. New York will throw ace CC Sabathia, while Baltimore will go with Jason Hammel.

Oakland Athletics at Detroit Tigers - Noon on MLB Network: The Tigers took Game 1 of the best-of-five series Saturday. Tommy Milone will start for the A's while Doug Fister tosses for Detroit.

Washington Nationals at St. Louis Cardinals - 3 p.m. on TBS: Game 1 of a best-of-five series features Washington's Gio Gonzalez, a 21-game winner, against St. Louis' Adam Wainwright.

Cincinnati Reds at San Francisco Giants - 9:30 p.m. on TBS: The Reds took Game 1 of the best-of-five series on Saturday night. Bronson Arroyo will pitch for Cincinnati, while Madison Bumgarner throws for the Giants.

National Football League

Cleveland Browns at New York Giants - 1 p.m. on CBS: New York (2-2) is looking for a bounce-back victory over the winless Browns (0-4).

Denver Broncos at New England Patriots - 4 p.m. on CBS

Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospitals for Children Open - 4 p.m. on Golf Channel
